Ontario Notice Periods Under the RTA
The Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) specifies minimum notice periods for various forms. Serving a notice with insufficient notice makes it invalid. Always count from the date of service and ensure the termination date falls on the last day of a rental period (for N12, N8, N13).
